About Me

I'm a Senior Software Engineer at CleverTap, where the last 3 years have gone into the systems that decide what message reaches a user, and when — across one of the largest customer engagement platforms.

Most of my work is backend and data-intensive: owning a feature end to end, from system design and data modeling through performance tuning and the on-call reliability that comes after it ships. The problems I enjoy most are the ones where getting the model right early saves everyone a year of workarounds.

I also spend a good share of my time mentoring — the part of the job where the payoff compounds. Away from a keyboard, you'll find me on a long-distance bike ride, playing competitive football, hiking, or sat across a board at a chess tournament.

Senior Software Engineer

CleverTap, Mumbai

  • Cross-Channel Frequency Capping: Built the rule engine that stops users being over-messaged across every channel at once — and the platform 5 later features were built on top of.
  • Delivery Simulation: Shipped a dry-run simulator that shows which messages a user would actually receive before a campaign sends. Adopted by Nykaa, Bajaj, and Axis Bank.
  • PII Encryption: Led platform-wide encryption of profile attributes, email, and phone — decrypting only at the point personalization needs it, with no cost to delivery performance.
  • Data Archival Pipeline: Automated moving dormant campaign data off the primary MongoDB cluster, and owned the rollout through to production hardening.
  • Server-Side App Inbox: Designed the Redis-backed in-app message store built for StockX, part of a $1M ARR migration.
  • Dynamic Content Personalization: Made campaigns pull message content from client systems at send time, cutting the onboarding work new clients had to do.
  • Leadership & Reliability: POC for a 10-member team, mentored 3 engineers through 5 production features in 2 months, led cross-team incident response on-call, and won the company-wide Hackathon.

  • Campaign API Platform: Opened up push, email, and SMS campaign creation to clients' own code instead of the dashboard — now behind 40%+ of all campaigns on the platform.
  • Audience & Ads Integration: Wired Facebook and Google Ads into the platform, so audiences and ad set targeting could be built straight from profile data.
  • Push Notification Analytics: Built the pipelines and dashboards behind push render rates, giving teams a real read on how campaigns performed.
